| Reference Clients: | If unable to deliver to lab within 24 hours, centrifuge the specimen and separate the serum from the red cells. Store and transport at 2-8° C within 5 days. If longer periods of storage are required, the sample should be frozen at -20° C. |

| Additional Information: | The assay should be used for determination of serological status only. The level of antibody is unrelated to the presence or absence of disease. A three week period between collection of acute and convalescent specimens is necessary to note a seroconversion from negative to positive. |
